Name: Deborah Glickson
Description: Deb Glickson grew up in Coral Springs, FL. At the University of Florida, she majored in watching football (Go Gators!), but also managed to obtain a degree in Geology. After graduating in 1997, she continued her studies at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN-another SEC school!) and spent two years going to concerts and clubs. Between outings, she worked on an MS in Geology, focusing on marine geology and tectonics. After finishing in 1999, Deb went to work at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as a Research Associate in Physical Oceanography. Since beginning at the University of Washington’s School of Oceanography in 2002, Deb has been studying the geologic evolution of the Endeavour hydrothermal vent fields at a local to regional scale. This is her 9th trip out to the vent fields, and expects it to be the most exciting yet!
