Jason slowly moves the resistivity probe and its data logger (also referred to as pig) toward the selected black smoker plume. The probe will be inserted inside the orifice of the chimney, and the data logger deployed in a close by area. The probe measures resistivity as a proxi of chorinity, but also registers temperature and hydrogen.
